He is recognized as one of the few experts in the Energy Industry. He founded his mechanical/structural engineering consultant firm in 1974. Mr. Plunkett has ongoing consulting activities with most of the major utilities and architectural engineering, Lawler firms, and Insurance firms in the United States, including the Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) and the Department of Energy (DOE).
